Philip Quinn – Private Tommy Draper/Chrissy
Philip completed his training at UCLAN where he was directed by Mark Whitelaw as Odysseus in Penthesilea, and by Helen Tolson as John Proctor in The Crucible. He earned his theatre stripes with Say Two Productions the old fashioned way, starring in everything from Shakespeare to Panto to TIE! Notable credits include: George in Of Mice and Men, Gerald Croft in An Inspector Calls and Malcolm in Macbeth, directed by Christine Appleby.

Last year he played Lieutenant Colonel in Ian Moore’s Buxton Fringe nominated and Manchester 24:7 selected The Inconsistent Whisper of Insanity. He later followed this success with a tour of Hamlet playing Laertes/Rosencrantz, which ended in Rome.

Most recently he played Paul in Ed Chapman’s Facing Up and the lead of John Lennon in Scott Murphy’s Walls & Bridges, both directed by Pauline Daniels at the Liverpool Actors Studio. In August he will be reprising this role when Walls & Bridges appears in this year’s New York Fringe Festival.


Danny Kenwright – Colour Sergeant John Nolan/Danny
Danny made his professional acting debut in the Andrew Garfield film Boy A and has since appeared in several short films including Ten Years and You’ll Never Be A Prince.

Currently in his final year at Liverpool Media Academy, Danny, has played numerous roles including; Azdak in The Caucasion Chalk Circle, LT. Ralph in Our Country’s Good and the title role of Othello.

Danny also played an Ugly Sister in The Green Room Christmas Panto – Cinderella.  He has also appeared in an online sit-com pilot written by Andrew Kinsella, which is due to premiere later this month.

Michael Idris – Private Jack Sheppard/Andy
Michael was born and raised in Liverpool and graduated in 2009 from Liverpool Hope University with a BA Hons in Drama and Theatre Studies.
A confident and hardworking performer, Michael is versatile and open-minded in his approach to performance. Michael completed the Hope Street Emerging Artist Programme in 2010 as an Actor during which he took part in The Innovasion devised and directed by Hilary Westlake, Upside Down Wrong Way Round devised and directed by Trevor Stuart and Helen Statman, The Sordid Shanty of Silkbeard directed by Adam McGuigan and (p)Arty Political, directed by Montserrat Gili. Michael received a nomination for Best Actor at the Odeon Short Film Competition for his role in Trust.
Michael has also recently performed at the Unity Theatre in their Christmas production of The Red Shoes directed by Patrick Dineen also working alongside Random Acts of Wildness and Petit Ullaloom.
Michael also compéres The Canary Cage burlesque show as the character Mr Frisk.

Craig Brennan – Writer
Craig Brennan is 41 years old and from Liverpool, he spent his youth doing drama at the Liverpool Playhouse Youth Theatre, and has performed with a variety theatre companies.
He has always had an interest in writing but it has only been in recent years that he has been producing material for a wider audience. Craig is currently trying to get his first novel published and is putting the finishing touches to his second.
The Place Where We Stand, Spion Kop is his debut play and he hopes this to be the first of many. Craig would one day like to study for a degree in English Language and Literature but with the increase in University fees it seems unlikely.

Ian Moore: Script Consultant

North East born, Liverpool-based Ian is Artistic Director of Black Box and founder of Write Now. An award-winning playwright Ian has worked in the profession as performer, writer and director beginning with panto at the age of twelve. He set up Black Box as an independent theatre-in-education company in 1995

Rachael White – Director
Rachael White is a writer and director originally from Liverpool and a recent graduate of Newcastle University with a degree in English Language and Literature. While at university her directing credits included One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Harvey, and The Cemetery.
After graduating Rachael has been lucky enough to direct a site specific piece Julie’s Launderette for the Around The House festival at the Ovalhouse Theatre, London, as well as Trainee Assistant Directing on Madam Butterfly at the King’s Head Theatre, which was Sunday Times and Times Critic’s Choice.
Rachael is also currently on the Everyman Young Writers’ Programme.

Jamie Saye – Sound Designer
Jamie Saye is a 3rd year Sound Technology student at the Liverpool institute for Performing arts, where he specialises in live sound reinforcement.

Prior to coming to Liverpool, Jamie has been involved with live bands and theatre for many years in his home town of York, and is enjoying the challenge that Spion Kop presents to him in terms of sound design. Eventually, Jamie aspires to operate sound for big theatre productions on the West End or Broadway
